Tips & Trips
for the ‘09

It’s a funny thing, but somehow all of us have ended up in Auckland recently, whether for work or a bit of fun. With some of our amazing clients based in the 09, we’ve loved meeting them in their own backyards. Although we enjoy hosting clients in our office, we’ll admit, the change of scenery has been refreshing!

With the silly season fast approaching, we know a lot of you will be hitting the road for the holidays. So, if you’re heading to Auckland, we thought we’d share some of our favourite spots to see, eat, and explore, as our gift to you!

Exploring Auckland:
Our Team’s Top Picks

Our teams “Must see’s & do’s” when exploring Auckland:

Em’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Discovery

When Em, our Head of Strategy, made the trip up for Pearl Jam (rock on!), she stumbled across a hidden gem: Union Post, a historic post office turned pub. With its cozy vibe and great pub grub, it’s the perfect mix of history and modern chill. She says it’s a must-visit for a low-key night out. Check it out here.

Liz’s Sunrise & Spaghetti Adventures

Liz, our Imagery Expert, has clocked up plenty of Auckland trips for client shoots. Despite the early mornings (hello 5:45 AM sunrise shots!), she found time to indulge her love of Italian food. Her absolute favourite spot? Amore Restaurant. Authentic, delicious, and the kind of pasta that makes the early mornings totally worth it. Drool over it here.

Vera’s Magical Glow-Up Moment

Vera, our Brand Guru, has been playing tour guide for her visiting family from Europe. Her absolute highlight? A bioluminescent kayak tour on Auckland’s North Shore. Think glowing waters, magical vibes, and the perfect adventure for Vera’s creative spirit. She says it’s like paddling through a real-life fairytale! Definitely one to check out if you’re looking for something totally unique. More about the tour here.

Jahan’s Golf and Client Combo

Jahan, our Web Coding Whiz, managed to combine a pool competition, some client catch-ups, and his ultimate passion—golf—all in one Auckland trip. His top pick? Muriwai Golf Links, a stunning course with ocean views that he swears are unbeatable. Perfect for a round or just soaking up the scenery. Tee off here.

Billie’s Festive Night Out

Saving the best for last, our Social Media Queen Billie, a former Auckland local, has an awesome Christmas itinerary to share. Start with dinner at Prego, wander along Franklin Road to soak in the magical Christmas lights, and finish the night with a scoop (or three!) at Duck Island Ice Cream. Festive, fun, and a sweet way to end any evening. Prego | Franklin Road Lights | Duck Island Ice Cream

Auckland has been so good to us lately, and we hope you enjoy these recommendations as much as we did (Also, we have a lot more foodie spots if you want to ask us about it at your next visit).
If you’ve got a favourite spot we’ve missed, let us know—we’ll add it to our list for next time!
