Struggling
with social?

We don’t know about you, but our digital feeds are full of small business owners who are struggling with how to manage their organic social media presence.

‘Best practices’ change so frequently that it all can feel too huge and really confusing. To make it easier for you in the mix of all the ‘noise’, here are our top 4 planning and implementation tips and a free guide to bring it all together!

Mastering
the basics?

Our top 4 tips on how to use a Content Calendar to lift your social media game:

1. Choose the correct platforms

What platforms are your customers on? Whether it's Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, YouTube or others, you need to be where your audience is. BUT, you don’t have to do all of them…start small by picking a one or two, build your confidence and once you are ready, expand onto more.

2. Create a content list

Create some content headings which best suit your offer and jot down all your ideas under those. As a general rule, always aim to Educate, Inspire and Entertain with your content. Make sure your list includes your key brand messages, to promote your offer and ensure consistency across platforms and, include heaps of social proof ideas to truly connect with your audience.

3. Plan ahead with a calendar

A visual guide or planner can be a game-changer to help keep you on track and make sure you don’t lose your flow. You don’t have to post every day, but aim for a minimum of two per week and spread out the type of content (from tip 2.) you post to keep interest high and your followers coming back for more.

4. Schedule your posts

Want to save time? Silly question, we know! After filling in your planning calendar, go ahead and schedule your posts to save time, ensure consistency and make sure your content is being posted when your audience are on line…not just when you are!

Use tools like Meta Business Suite to schedule your posts (and stories) for both Facebook and Instagram. There are heaps of handy platforms you can use to schedule onto other platforms too, but that’s a tip for another time…
